  • Pinging Problems......possible solution?

    So the other day im discussing with my friend who has a mustang about problems with my pinging, he tells me he had the same problem with his mustang and it ended up being the MAF was oily from the K&n filter. So i decide to take a look @ mine, sure enough pull her out and its oily, and the oil is thin like the filter oil,what do u guys think? possible fix? im hoping this info could possibly help others

    Hmm, you have a good point. I was going to try one of those k and n's, but only to experiment with. You cant bet the filteration of a paper air filter. It is more restrictive, but air is near hepa quailty. Around here its very dusty so i was hesitant to buy a k&n. Jest keep my paper filter clean, and youll be good to go.

      BTW the way i cleaned the maf wire was some quick drying electronic cleaner from advance autoparts, since you cant touch the maf wire. Worked for me. hope this helps some people out
