• How to get better acceloration????

Besides a torque converter. Is there anything? I just changed out my fuel filter, my oil, and cleaned out my CAI. Still been gettin poor acceloration and gas millage. Next week I am going to be putting on new plugs and wires. So I am hoping that will help out too.

He has 3.42's, which I would keep. Just a quick question, is the exhaust causing the lack of off the line acceleration, or the cat? Also, how is the tranny holding? If all is working well, I see nitrous/engine internals (namely a cam)/or weight reduction as your best bet. Also, what size are the rims and tires?

I noticed my car doesn't have that punch it did before, maybe I've just gotted used to it. I'm also going to change the plugs etc, tune up...and hopefully the B&B will be here before the weekend.

I think with the tune up you'll be back in power city. The B&B is better than the flowmater so that help slightly. but with the 3.42s Id say if ur car was in perfect running order that ur rims and rotational weight are holding u back. Im gonna change driveshaft to 1le. my rims are prety light, I think they are about 16 lbs or so. but I think the 10lbs drop in rotational weight will make a big difference. Fun fact for the day, 1lb rotation that u can take off is the same as 10lbs dead weight. + what kind of fuel are u running, and do u have a heavy stereo/ that spare still in the trunk. I get good accel just outta 87 octane but I can feel a few extra hp, no extra tq with 91 and boost.

I am running the nock off ZR1 rims so they are 16.8. Yes, I do have I pretty heavy stereo in the trunk w/a spare. I don't think my exhaust could be taking away any tq. I've just started to notice this lack of power within the last few weeks. I dunno, its just strange. Would weather have anything to do with it?

Get a good exhaust setup. Besides performance, it just sounds good.

All depends on where you buy them from, and if you want a LSD. It can range from $100-500.

You might try cleaning your MAF sensor, also. Take it out, and (carefully) use some alcohol on a Q-Tip to remove the muck from the wires in the MAF sensor. Make sure the alcohol isn't dripping off of the Q-tip and that it's just moist. I've done this with every oil change, and I can feel a big difference everytime I do it.

Has anyone tried that Caspers throttle enhancer? Sounds like a good idea to me for only 90 bux to get better acceleration
