When I go to start my car in the morning or after it has had the chance to cool off. It idles around 700-1200 rpms (not constant). Then once I put it into gear, it seems to jolt forward and the rpms still are not constant. Once I drive 75 yards or so, the car drives normally with a smooth idle. Anyone have an idea on what my problem is?

      Re: start up

How long do you let it warm up??? It seems that once you get the rpms up the ride is smoother. If its really shaky and the engine is sputtering then I'd change the fuel filter and oil soon first. If the change in idle is minor then it could just be the engine warming up.

Yes I know this is a very minor problem but I was just wondering if it was anything to worry about.
