Yeah that's what I was thinking but I try not to make assumptions.. I learned my lesson with assumptions awhile ago. If it is your EGR valve then yeah, you can get block off plates somewhere but then you either gotta tune it out or get a sim.

If it has to do with the fuel system.. ugh, Figure out it's purpose. Then how to fix/replace it. Don't just block it off. ****, my alternator isn't working right in my other car.. I guess I'll just get rid of it. hah.. oh yeah.. that also reminds me of a lot of girls I know.. If they here something wrong with their engine area they just turn up their stereo so they can't hear it. Seriously though, figure out your problem don't try to ignore it.

he is talking about his evap canister yes you can clamp off the lines disconnect them or just unplug the purge solinoid beware this will set a code(turn on the check engine light) on ob2 cars there is no performance loss from doing this it takes the air pressure(and fuel vapors)that build in the tank from running and the heat of the day and releases them into the engine under cruse conditions to be burnt

finally a smart person,,,thanx auto 666 and your screen name makes me nerves, since it is a devils # anyway,,,,,,i feel a strong smell of fuel in the car rearend, and its not the tank since it holds the pressure very well,so i guessed it is the evap canister,,,so it wont hurt the car if i block the hose until i get it fixed??? if i dont unplug it it wont cause a code???? performance loss???? bad fuel milage??? thanx

no it should not set a code and no performance loss, not enough milage difference to even notice.
and dont worry about my screen name im a nice guy most of the time :) lol
