oh yea.... i have read but i forgot to cut/paste/save the info that our multec2 injectors shoud not be subjected to things like over the counter injector cleaners nor even intake cleaners like seafoam.
have you applied any chemicals such as the above to your intake system or the gas tank? if you plan on it you may want to read warnings and info regarding the product and multec2 (delphi) injectors.

Well, I was going to run seafoam through the gas but now maybe I will read up on that stuff first.
Check my fuel pressure with a mechanical gauge last night and with the key on the pressure was 44 and when I started it the pressure ws about 46 so I don't think there is a problem with fuel.
Actually the codes I am getting are the fuel trim lean codes.
As for the MAF, I was thinking exactly what you said so since the MAF that was in the car while it was acting up was under waranty so I just went to advance Auto and exchanged it for another one.
When I put the new one in it seemed a little better but not that much. It was still shaking and I could still smell gas at idle. This sensor as well as the one I replaced were remanufactured. Maybe I got another crap sensor?
I just amazed with the night and day difference with the sensor unplugged and plugged in.
Unplugged it idles so smooth.
I need to get this resolved because I will have my SC back on Saturday and I probably shouldn't run boost with out the MAF.
Thanks for your adivce Grayman your definitely a very helpful person.
Modifications:<br />headers, throtle bod spacer, flowmaster, high flow magnaflow carsound cat, powerdyne sc with 2.9\" pulley and by-pass valve, walboro 255 fuel pump, spec stage 2 clutch, and HP Tuners
wish i could help you figure all this out. i hate goofy ++++ the most of all. at least if something breaks you can fix it. to have no idea where to start drives me crazy.
are you running stock PCM program?

Basically, I have not played around with HP tuners becasue I don't want to change anything while running in speed density. The only things I have changed are torque management and fans.
It is just so weird, people say header leak, O2 sensors and some other stuff but wouldn't that stuff also affect the performance with the MAF unplugged?
My SC will be here on Saturday and I won't be able to use to its full potential without using the MAF.
By the way I technically got the racing rebuild with everything except the shimming. I got the ceramic bearings and while I was waiting for those to arrive I sent my front cover to Carl for the venting.
My Dad rebuild it for me in Michigan and sent it to me in Florida. Only cost me
$350.00 for everything.

i hate to say it but you may need to take the car to a good qualified mechanic to diagnose/fix the problem.
i take it you have already replaced the fuel filter and tested the fuel pressure regulator. you have already double and triple checked your stock vac lines. if your headers were leaking you would hear it and why would both headers be leaking?
when you had the maf off is the TB pcv plug still in place?

Yes the plug is still in.
But, the SC was off for 2 weeks and it ran fine then with the PVC plug still in.
The only thing I did do check the filter and regulator was checking the pressure with a mechanical fuel pressure gauge. When I turned the key the pressure jumped right up to 44psi and when I staarted the car it idleed at 46psi.

It ended up being a crack in my EGR pipe from the EGR valve to the intake

Hey everyone! I've been trying to remove my transmission for two days now! I need to replace the clutch. Only thing I've got left holding the transmission...
Hello, so I changed the front bearings on the bird and the ABS inoperative light came on. I made a mistake of not removing negative battery cable. Now...
I usually have to double, triple my headlight switch for them to come up on my 97 Firebird. I cleaned all connections. Could it be the headlight switch...
