  • slight idle vibration?

on my 96 m5 at idle it has a very slight vibration. the shifter moves abit and its just a little vibration through out the car. I did a tune up plugs wires and it still does it. is this normal or what could be wrong? and the car has a exhaust leak comming from where the EGR tube connects to the exhaust manifold. I cant tighten the bolt or loosen it it seems threaded wrong and feels like it is going to break. can I just take the whole EGR valve off? would this hurt or help performance? thanks

removing the throttle body is suggested but not really easy. you need to drain the coolant and get new gaskets since the t/b circulates coolant. the easist way is to remove the air intake, remove the maf screen, and spray around the bore and the hole to the passenger side of the engine (this is the bypass for the idle air motor). if your car is nose down this will help keep the crud out of your engine. btw, this is engine OFF. then prop the blade open with something and spray some more around the bore until it runs clean. let it dry. reassemble. start engine (it might crank a few times -- dont panic) and let it burn up the rest of the cleaner sitting in the throttle body.
