Hey i just got my hpp3 today well i have 3.73's and it only goesw to 3.42's so i raised so rev limiter to 6600 and my shift points up like 3 mph and it only goes to like 5900 rpm and hit the rev liter at 5900 and wont shift what is the problem

fock that manual! it doesnt help for shlt! i used it, i went to the track and my car and i both where taking shlts down the track! my mechanic eventually used it with conjunction of an autotap to properly set my shift points to 5500. and the whole reason i bought the damn thing was to adjust speedo after the 3.73s. why the fock would i need to adjust to 3.08s? it has a 3.08 setting but no 3.73s
now what happens when i get bigger rims with my 3.73s????? i aint no math major!6s.......under the hood or under the belt, they just dont cut it.

the manul does not help for nothing i think this hpp3 is NOT worth what i paid for it i cannot go to 3.73 and i had to do some hella math to figure it out and now my rev limiter wont go past 6k when they claim it will go to 6600 i would be happy if i could get it to 6200 BUT NO wont happen and im not sure it gave the amount of horse power it says but i will run at the track saturday and i hope i prove myself wrong well see

Why would you want to? If you don't have the cam that has power in that range, it'd be a waste of your time since power drops off around 5800 RPMs on the stock cam. Not to mention if you don't have the proper valvetrain modifications, you'll blow your engine when those valves start floating! [img]graemlins/thumbsdown.gif[/img]

Oh believe me... it does! ;) I have the dyno results to prove it. My Camaro is the original alpha tester for the 2000 HPP3 product. It just got warm enough late last week that I bumped up from the 87 tuning to the 93 tuning. the hpp3 works, you just have to know what your doing. in my case when i took it out to the track i wanted to cry. why? you ask, cause i did not know what i was doing! like i posted previously, my mechanic figured it out for me and i am still "you'll blow your engine when those valves start floating!" floating valves

oh well, live and learn.6s.......under the hood or under the belt, they just dont cut it.

From reading this thread I have deduced that using the HPPIII involves more than just plug and play, am I right? It's really easy to use the HPP3. If you don't know what it is asking, just select "N" to skip that option. For example, when it comes to rev limiter.. just select "N" to leave the setting to stock. No need to adjust that value unless you have some nice valvetrain modifications that allow a higher revving motor.
