tick=dead?

My car has been ticking for awhile now, it goes away after it heats up...or actually about 5 min. I don't think it's the lifters, though. I watched the video here

My tick doesn't go away when the eng. revs. it just gets louder, and it's pretty loud.

Some info...
My water pump gave about a month ago, I went to the man-chanic, he changed it, along with my hoses and drive belt. Funny thing, though, I just checked my radiator lvl. last night, dry.....my P/S fluid is low as well, and my oil.....I hate my life....
p.s. I've been going to teh man-chanic to get my oil changed, because my dad got mad at me for doing it myself....see what i get

*edit* one more thing, my heater hasn't been working right....it doesn't get hot until my engine gets to about 3/4 the way overheated, then the engine rapidly cools to normal. Then it starts over, wait...that sounds bad that means i'm running hot.....arghh!!!! i hate my life....

Often if radiator fluid is low the heating doesn't work well or doesn't work at all.

yea, fill up your radiator and your heat will work and you wont overheat. The reason is the fluid is heating up but its not physically touching the thermostat so it wont open up to let the fluid flow to heater core. Once it gets hot enough the temperature its producing in the air will eventually get the thermostat hot enough to open up. Thats why it gets 3/4 up in temp and then cools down on the temp gauge and then your heat works. On a side not that lets you know your thermostat and heating system are working how they should.
