im not sure if this is the right place to post this but...

i got my radiator flushed along with a 3000 mile oil change/ top off fluids etc... about a week ago. now, since then my car has been running just fine [temp about 180] [oil pressure about 50]... until two days ago. BAM! my temp skyrocketed to 260 in a matter of seconds. sitting at a red light temp was a little hotter than usual [190ish] look up at the light, look back down at the temp gauge... 260. WTH. i just got my radiator flushed. why is it doing this. so i pulled over into CVS, bought a big bottle of water, waited for the radiator to cool, and poured the water in. immediatley following i went to walmart to pick up some dexcool. filled her up with dexcool. and she has been running a little warm ever since.

i dont understand why if i just got it flushed... why is there no fluid left within a week. i looked for a hose or something that is leaking... and i came up empty handed. any help would be greatly appreciated. my father told me that i cannot drive the car until i get the problem fixed. so i need help asap. thank you.

check the oil...see if there's coolant/water in the oil

or is it burning in the exhaust? (white smoke?)

Sure it isn't coming from the water pump and burning off on it as well. If the leak is that big (able to make it all go away within a week) you would definately notice it from somewhere, unless it's in your oil. Also, make sure that your heater core isn't leaking. Next time you get in your car, feel the edge of your carpet on the passenger side up right underneath the dash and see if you notice any dampness. Because if your heater core is ruined, you definately want to catch it before it's too late and have a nice small pond in your passenger side floor board like I did. :(

Maybe they didn't bleed the air out of the coolant all the way. Once you refilled it up it took up some of the air that was in there. I would still see if you can bleed it out some more. They can be a pain esp. when they are totally drained all the way out, it takes awhile to get the air out. I know it took me several trys bleeding it out, when I flushed mine.

ok, so i posted something new. i dont know how to post the link to my new post in here. but, i found the leak, it was a steady stream of water coming out. a pinsized steady stream, but steady nun-the-less.
