A few weeks ago my 98 got hit while parked in front of my house. The body shop said that they will have to take the roof off in order to replace the quarter panel and inner structure. Has anyone gone through this before? Is this true? I can't imagine that the roof has to come off to replace the quarter panel.
Thank you for any advice.
Also, I wasn't sure if this thread belongs in the repairs/tech section or the appearance section.
I think the roof hides the upper section of the quarterpanel where it's spot-welded to the frame. I don't know how to remove that part of the roof, but I'm sure someone here has to...
I've heard that removing the roof panel in 1 piece is almost impossible, and a new panel is very expensive. I guess that sucker is really glued on there good.
