  • missing coolant

    ok i did a flush on my car and i noticed that radiator was not full. well i filled it up. checked the car today and the coolant in the radiator was low again. there is not oil in the radiator or water in the oil. im not lacking power. i dont get a coolant smell in the exahust im not over heating. were is my coolant going?

    Did you purge all the air out of the system after the flush? It sounds like an air bubble to me.

      no we have a air vac at school that my teachers says there is no need to pure the air. but i went ahead and did it any way and when the car reached about 180 the coolant stared gushing out of the radiator is that normal?

        yes, but thats not how you take the air out, there should be a little screw around your thermostat.. let the car get to running temp, then turn the screw, and wait until the coolant flows out as a steady stream

        you only do the rad cap thing on the imports
