i dont have a clue to what it is. every time for the past few days, when i'm driving, i start to hear a noise in the engine bay. when i'm sitting at a light it's a low mechanical sounding buzz. when i'm going about 45ish (2100ish rpms) it starts to get higher in pitch. if i push in the clutch it goes away for a little bit. i just replaced my belt to see if that would do anything. didn't. what could it be?

Re: wierd noise
kinda funny... a few years ago my family got a dirt bike. wouldn't run to well so i opened it up to find a nest of rats in the airbox! there was also a nest in the tail pipe but no rats. but seriously this has got to go.

Re: wierd noise
I'm just going to through in my 2-cents, about all they are worth. I've had rattles turn out to be cats (the platinum kind, not the little cute furry kind God kills when you look at porn), cracked ac brackets (not this car, but another), and heat shields. The AC bracket varied with rpm, seemed to be a vibration thing. But I like the throw out bearing idea.
