Hmmm....there's 3 EGR codes there, I wonder what it could be :p. EGR will cause the car to run like complete crap if it's failing. Replace it or block it off and get sim's (recommended). I don't think GA has emissions, so sim's would be the best way to go IMO. I would have replaced that before the TPS sensor.

Thanks a lot! That's a hell of a lot better than 220 bucks for a new digital EGR valve.

And those plates will fit on a 93 3.4 Camaro?

Ok, so today I went out to check the car out. My dad came home from work and helped out. We unbolted the EGR and ran the car. The EGR valve is not my problem. We also unplugged the MAP sensor. It ran the same with the connector to the sensor plugged as it did unplugged. When the vacuum line was taken off, it ran like 5h!t. Do you think it's the MAP sensor? It's like 50 bucks for a new one.

I would check the spark plugs. Even if they are clean, check the gap. A friend had a similar problem, and it turned out his plug gap was way off.

The gap was fine. We changed my fuel filter today and it was absolutely FILTHY. There was also a coating of oil on the MAF sensor. We cleaned that. my god. This is driving me up the wall.

Re: Serious Problem! Need help ASAP!

Well. here we are. A week or so after the fact. The car's still down and we still don't know what is causing it. The MAP sensor didn't help at all. Right now, possible guesses are the fuel pump, injectors, timing chain, crank sensor, and other things related to controlling timing. It's about to get messy. We're gonna start tearing the engine apart trying to get it figured out. Once again, what it's doing is it's sputtering, stalling out and carrying on when it's idling, then while accelerating, it sputters more, misfires, and falls on it's face entirely when the throttle is punched.

                              At this point, I agree.

Yet another development! We got hold of a fuel pressure gauge. I read in the repair manual that fuel pressure should be in the ballpark of 40-50ish. Well guess what? It's not. It's only like 10. Ideas on this? Pump or regulator? Both? We may not have to take it to a mechanic after all. :D
