Re: airbags
sure. well. theres preventive measures... pull off your center console, right behind the shifter you will see a big plug lookin thing.. thats an airbag sensor, unplug it.
2 im pretty sure airbags have a fuse. pull it..
3. duck tape like a few bricks on the top of it.. i dont think its going to lift a few bricks.. you may have to put a pillow on top, becasue i think somebody hitting the airbag is not as bad as hitting brick...
:D lolWE CAN REBUILD IT, WE HAVE THE TECHNOLOGY

Re: airbags
Well a typical airbag will launch 4-5 bricks through the passenger's head and out your back hatch. I suggest anyone under the size requirements sit in the back, it's safer than messing with an airbag system.
Go to youtube and look at some videos of people launching themselves into the air with airbags. The best one is of a guy who sits on one...
After you stop laughing, consider what would happen if it went off when there was someone looking in the glove box. They would probably die, so don't f* with airbags. :)
EDIT: If you decide to f* with airbags please video it in case something deadly happens.
And by deadly I mean hilarious.Last edited by GinsuGuy585; 12-14-2007, 03:27 PM.

Re: airbags
i want to do the same thing to mine, since i'm only 5 foot 2 i sit closer than the recomdent distance to the wheel. so if that bad boy goes off my head will shoot threw my back hatch.
i would like to turn off the drivers side but leave the pass side on. i wouldn't want to jeopardize anyone else in my car

Re: airbags
yeah honestly wouldnt do it.... i know u don't want to think about it but what if you had to sell your car =0 and you had to tell that person there was no airbag, or if someone else like your hubby was drivin it without the air bag in..... you might get socked in the face pretty hard but i think you'd be ok.

Re: airbags
Maybe somebody needs a booster seat? :naughty:
That's only 1/2 joking, my grandmother uses a booster cushion (apparently old people shrink) and it kept her head at the right hight for the air bag; drunk driver hit her head on at 40, she was beating on his window yelling at him when I arrived so I guess they work.
