  • Gasoline in engine oil

i have a '94 3.4 camaro auto trans and last weeks i noticed rough idling when its cold, the oil (quaker state 10w30) and spark plugs (Bosch 2+ platinum) has 1k miles, when i changed the spark plugs i noticed that the 2, 4 and 6 (left cylinder bank front to back) were black smoked, to me seems to be running rich on left bank, the other 3 was ok, and last week i noticed an oil leak from the engine and when i check the engine oil the level was a little bit up and i smell gasoline on it, the color is honey yellow still, i do not start my car since i noticed that problem, i am new in this community :wavey: and actually learning english, i am 18 and i live in mexico, i worked a lot to get that car and i really would appreciate it if you helped me out. i think the problem could be a bad o2 sensor but im not sure.

hey sanchez. welcome to the site. your car has obd 1 which means your o2 sensors are single wire and hence less expensive than others. Replace the o2 on the side thats running rich and see if that helps, my car was running lean and a new o2 sensor fixed that prob. Even if its not that you can narrow it down and you'll have a fresh o2 sensor in anyhow. It's around 20 bux here in America so ....whats that like 2 million pesos or sumthin in mexico?

    welcome again
