Ok so I did a search on these and found sorta what I needed but is it a common thing for our 3.8's to leak from these? Mines a 00 Firebird with about 92k I really dont want to fork out the 500-700 bucks that it cost to fix all of that. I really dont have the time right now to do it myself so guess Im gonna have to if it gets any worse. Its not to bad now just an occasional drip. Can anyone recommend a GOOD rear diff cover mines a little wore out and I would like to get a newer one. Thanks in advance

they replaced mine like 6 times... i guess there is a gasket in there called a rear cover gasket (or something like it) that will leak through the rear main... make sure that is replaced too if they do the work.. and they have to drop the tranny so get a tq converter or something Mystic Teal Metallic
