Just wondering if anyone knows of some good free mods for a 97 3.8. I know there's lots for the 98+ but i havent found much for the 97. Sorry if this should've been in a different area of the forum..

-remove front swaybar
-unhook exhaust(right above the small crossmember thing)
-weight reduction
-pull the drivebelt(only for short runs like at a dragstrip since you will have no waterpump)
and drive it really fast :)Comment

remove all seats, speakers, carpets, dash panels, ac components, spare tire,mirrors, and go on a diet. Should be looking at some nice weight reduction numbers :tup:Comment

not free, but fairly cheap: home-made cold air intake, Z-28 take-off exhaust, aluminum driveshaft, and then the basic weight reduction. You could also pull off your belt at the track, like they said. All that, and you could have a mere $500 into your car's mods and be running high 14's.~97 3.8L V6 Camaro~
