I'm trying to pinpoint why my car is a pain in the butt to cold start (and sometimes warm starts) so far I've changed the fuel filter, the spark plugs, the wires, the cap things they plug into (long day at work), Sea Foamed the entire engine using the guide I found on here.
Checked the spark plugs for any oil/soot/whatever after 1k miles and they are still new looking. I am completely out of ideas, even Chilton's has run out of things for me to check.
The engine turns over quickly when I turn the key like it wants to fire up but doesn't. I release the key for a second and try again, 50/50 chance it'll fire right up. Or once in a while get to 500 rpms then die out, or wake up like a grumpy old man. When I finally get it started she runs surprisingly smooth. You can sit in the car and not even know it's running.
Random question, is the oil pressure needle supposed to randomly bounce around at 80?
It's a '93 Firebird, btw. V6 of course.
