THIS IS ACTUALLY A COMMON PROBLEM WITH THE GM VATS KEY SET UP. YOU ARE GONNA HAVE TO BUY A NEW IGN CYLINDER. AND THE WD 40 WAS A BAD IDEA THERE IS ACTUALLY A LUBERICANT FOR LOCKS. JUST ASK ANYONE AT YOUR AUTO PARTS STORE THEY WILL KNOW WHAT YOUR TALKING ABOUT.96 camaro auto base model
slp cai
pacesetter headers
flowmaster catback
35th anniversary ss wheels
richmond 3.73
98+ ss spoiler
hypertech 160 degree thermostat
transgo shift kit

Spraying WD40 into your ignition keyhole is not going to hurt it. I don't know where this hissing is coming from, but your ignition problems started before your key got stuck in there and not after you sprayed it. I would have a dealer check the ignition cylinder. It's possible you just need another key made.1994 Firebird 3.4
15.65 @ 86.8
funkz.net/firebird
Timeslips

I bought the new ignition lock switch with the key, now I just need to have it installed. My friends and I tried doing it we removed the steering wheel and everything, but we need a special pulley or some crap to remove a cap from the steering column where the airbag coil is, the airbag coil breaks really easy and is very expensive so Im not touching that. I was told in order to get to the ignition I would have to remove that airbag coil, the turn signal switch and some other crap to finally get to the ignition.
I'm scared about how much I would have to dish out to the dealer to fix this, but that is really my last option. Im trying to find any place that will do it. I dont want to spend more than 200$ to have it installed, since I already have the ignition and key. I was told that a Pontiac dealership would charge me 4 hours of labor to put that in. I dont think that will turn out being a nice figure.1994 Pontiac Firebird M5
Flowmaster 80 Series/dual pipes
Magnaflow High Flow Cat
eBay two piece intake
http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2112560

Oh by the way, the hissing is gone. It only did it once and then it was fine and didnt do it anymore, ignore the hiss its not important. I need my ignition put in though, having no car sucks. I could drive my car places but that would require me having to stall thr car and then disconnect the battery to shut it off. I was wondering if I stalled the car in 5th gear would it jump as much as it would in 1st?1994 Pontiac Firebird M5
Flowmaster 80 Series/dual pipes
Magnaflow High Flow Cat
eBay two piece intake
http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2112560

Since you disconnecting your battery and you have the hood up anyways slide the rubber deal off the throttle body and hold your hand over the intake.. that will kill it too.http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2245261 Green 1997, 105k, all stock except for Z28 front springs, Air shocks in the rear, home made coolant recovery tank, home made battery hold down.
