Ok, Im replacing the headgasets and the intakes upper and lower gaskets. Someone was stating that when you replace these parts, you need to replace this plastic piece because it breaks. I need to know what this piece is called so I have it there when I put everything back together.
IDK what it is, but it's the 90* plastic coolant elbow going from the Tensioner assembly into the intake. Go to a dealer and tell them that and they'll be able to find it for you. It's ~$15 for it. Advanced Auto/Auto Zone don't have it separately, but it does come with the tensioner assembly if you buy a new one.
I just bought one at autozone the other day. It was 4bucks. It was called a heater hose joint or something like that. Right behind the counter.Bring it in and let them see it.
24503423 gm just calls it a pipe asm-, last one i got was from the dealer for like $5 but i work there so i get a discount. i dont know where the year break for the tensioner is but i know some years have 2 plastic elbows and some years only have one.
