i'm changing my oil today. could I use sea foam when i change my oil and then change it again 500 miles later?

i wouldnt. motor oils already are highly detergent. if you change the oil regularly, you should need any additives. use the sea foam in your gas or in the intake to remove carbon build up in the cylinders/valves. sea foam in the oil might clean 'too well' and you wind up with leaking gaskets.
that being said, i am rather found of marvel mystery oil in the crankcase. however, i only run this in my mopar engine. it has 124,000 miles and it makes the valve train a little quieter. i run synthetic oil in the bird, so i dont think marvel mystery oil would be a benefit there.
