        the trans is the same but the bellhousing is different and the input shaft on the trans is different. you would need a 3.8 motor,trans,wiring,harness,new kmember,new exhaust. new fuel lines new powersteering lines because the pump is in a diff location, new clutch slave and master cylinder because of the diff style slave cylinders,new a\c lines. new trans mount. and god knows what else besides all new fluids. so yea not gonna happen for under atleast 1500. i suggest the 3400 swap or wait until you can afford the v8
        cant wait till my lt1 and nitrous.

            so basicly, a 3400 top end swap would be just about as good as a 3.8 swap? is that the 3400 motor on like the 95 montie carlos?or a newer one? bacause it dosent make sence to me that putting the top end from an old 3.4 will make it faster than a 3.8 like tkoforpresident said. and the guy who wrote the 3.4 info artical post i just read from that link sugessted he outran an lt1 with just a 3400 top end, bigger injectors, and exaust.

                I'm not nico, I'm just nick, and I use niik on the internet sence nick is usualy taken. So hopefully I'm the only nick on Cv6. Cv6 is an acronim for camaro v6 right? Or is it some kind of 6th gen corvette iv'e never herd of lol

                      me too. i still dont totaly understand the logic of useing parts from a 3.4 on anther 3.4 and makeing it faster than a 3.8 but aperantly it worked for that guy. is it bacause it's 60 degrees and balenced? and tell me if im wright, the 3.4 guy's list of magic mods in that post were:

                      3400 heads
                      3400 3400 intake
                      3400 throttle body
                      bigger fuel rails
                      bigger fuel injectors
                      and exaust.

                      did i forget anything?
                      do i ask to many questions in one post?

                        i searched 3.4l camaro's on youtube nd found this guy's car ( the guy who made the post about the 3.4, im almost positive it is his) it sounds rely relly good.

                          please note it was vert lt1, they are heavy thus slower.

                          current car- 95 Trans am- bolt ons, parked and collecting dust. why? because **** it

                                I think you got everything except he got some better pistons than the ones in the 3.4, I do believe he got forged?? I may be wrong, I know it said something about aluminum but I think its the heads that are aluminum. He had a Supercharger or turbo charger too?
