Bacause I like my body style better than the 96 and up's
FYI, the body style was changed in 98. The 3.8L was available in some 95s, and standard in 96 and 97 which look exactly the same as your car in just about every aspect (except 97). If you are set on keeping your car, then do the 3400 top end swap. The 3400 was just a better performing motor. The parts he used were better flowing than the 3.4L so he netted better performance while still maintaining a car with mostly factory parts.
thanks for the info. yah i relly want to do the top end swap. but im told if i dont want 13:1 (i dont want to have to use premium 40$ a gallon gass) compresion im going to need to change the pistons, and thats starting to make me nervous. if i have to mess with pistons and stuff the jobs geting a little over my head i think, but idk.

13:1 on stock heads? I hope im missing something.
Also, just mod the **** out of a 3.4 with the money you'd use to put in a 3.8. You're not going to go that much faster on a 3.8 stock. Unless you have a couple extra grand on top of the essentials to do some modding.
I know nothing about 3.4's but a heads/cam setup would do wonders if the parts are available.
Just add a 50 shot of nitrous, change the plugs and wires. racing gas, and let her eat.lol
Drive it till it blows up and then change it for something else. Or, trade it for a 96-97 3.8. Add the 1000 to the 2500 you'll get for yours, get a nice 96-97. less headaches guaranteed.
so basicly, a 3400 top end swap would be just about as good as a 3.8 swap? is that the 3400 motor on like the 95 montie carlos?or a newer one? bacause it dosent make sence to me that putting the top end from an old 3.4 will make it faster than a 3.8 like tkoforpresident said. and the guy who wrote the 3.4 info artical post i just read from that link sugessted he outran an lt1 with just a 3400 top end, bigger injectors, and exaust.
i dont think the 95 monte's have the top end you would be looking for. i think you need to look for a newer top end like outta a 99+ grand am. but i am a 3800 guy and dont know to much about this swap

Haven’t done anything on the Camaro, but put LEDs on my truck headlights . And my oil pressure sensor went out on the truck so going to fix that this...
