Make sure you buy a 97 sensor/fuel pump assembly. I saw you mentioned a 2002 V6 unit. That will NOT fit your car. 99+ cars came with plastic gas tanks that mount the pumps differently. Also, the sensor data is streamed by serial bus instead of analog signal.

mmmm yeah, I noticed the plastic thing on some pics I saw on Rock Auto. I thought about it, about the difference on the sensors I mean.
Well, my pocket is starting to feel some pain already.:(
But there's nothing else I can do. I wanted to ask something else, is there any way possible that I can change that assembly without taking out the tank, or cutting the floor? maybe like 97+ grand prix or something like that?
that happened to me too... everytime i brake and deccelarate my fuel hand gauge goes down almost like 3-4 lines... then when i accelerate it goes up again....
