Not sure how much I trust it, one of the door codes indicate a monsoon sound system with cassette. In truth there is no monsoon amp and head unit is CD. The car appears stock with no mods.
Removed the wires from the coil packs and there it was, the connection for cyl. 1 was fouled. I mean it was dirty and the connection was loose. I tightened it up. Used electrolytic grease on both ends of all the plug wires.
Took the car out for a spin and WOW, I can't believe the engine was running smooth before with that connection so bad.
Just filled the tank so we'll see about the mpg in a couple weeks.
I switched my oil recently from Mobil1 Full Synthetic, 5W30 to Mobil1 Advanced Fuel Economy. My first fillup showed an improvement...I've been averaging 23.99 to 24.5 mpg these summer months, Mobil 87 octane, and with this past fillup, it was 26.7mpg. (Filled up ~12 gallons, went 326 miles)
I was kinda surprised, given 2 runs along the highway, one of them at > 85mph for a few minutes. I normally cant go more than 300 miles if I speed even once between fillups.
Hey everyone! I've been trying to remove my transmission for two days now! I need to replace the clutch. Only thing I've got left holding the transmission...
