What is the gap on the spark plug for 3.8. I just bought some Ac Delco Platinum plugs and was wondering what to set them at.

Chilton Manual lists the gap for a '98 3800 V6 as .045 in.
Though I do see many people here on the boards listing the gap at .060. Why is this?1997 Cayenne Red Metallic Camaro
3.8 V6 M5
SLP Cold Air Intake
Ceramic Coated Pacesetter Headers
Flowmaster American Thunder Catback
Full 3.42 & Disc Break Rear End Swap

The underhood sticker should say .060. The sticker supersedes whatever is in the manual. My factory plugs were gapped at .060 in my '98 when I took them out.
I did have to pull them down to .045 in order to run them with nitrous.\'98 A4 Camaro v6->v8 conversion, and STS kit next
v6: 13.6 Powerdyne, 13.2 150 shot, 13.8 120 shot, 14.3 85 shot, 15.7 stock
v8(na): 12.18@113, 392rwhp
Moderator on www.mtfba.org and www.frrax.com (Road Race & Autocross)
Car pics, TN Region SCCA
