Not sure what exactly it changes, all i know is that a stage 1 is for cars that have very little things to nothing and the stage 2 is used on cars that have headers, exhaust, and all the bigger things like that. Not sure, but it should change the timing of your computer. That's all i know.TT BABY!!
98 Firebird Y87
Headers, Cut Out, 80 series Flowmaster, 160 thermo, SLP Fan Switch, Taylor ignition wires, Yank Torq Conv 2800, B&M Tranny Cooler, Transgo Stage 3, SLP CAI, Whisper lid, SLP STB, DD KB SFC, Billet Adj PHR & LCA. More coming!

The Jet chips modify the timing and the air/fuel ratio. That's their primary thing. They also improve the shifts a little, the car seems to shift quicker and the transmission seems to be generally more responsive. The stage 1 & 2 chips basically do the same thing only the changes are more extreme on a stage2 chip because it assumes you have an open exhaust and some air induction. I've heard the stage 1 chip doesn't do a whole lot but the stage 2 chip which I have in my car is pretty useful. You won't be like blown away by it but you definately feel a significant improvement in power.
