How long had it been programmed to your car when you ran? Also, were the conditions the same today as the last time you ran your car? There's alot more to an ET than just doing a new mod, and running it. Weather plays a big role, and alot of other things.www.fullthrottlev6.com THE SOURCE!

Dyno testing a mod that yields "small" improvements is the only way to go for accurate results. Do a before and after test the same day, or have the results corrected for the conditions.1995 Firebird 3.8 A4, 140,000 miles and going strong
Basically Stock, college=poor
Junior Mechanical Engineering Student: Milwaukee School of Engineering; Cpl, MN Army National Guard...just got promoted :)

This is a good point. It would be best to take the programming out and make a few passes and then install only the tuneup and make a few passes and then compare. Also, if you've changed the shift points and they're too high, you could be losing ET.
While I think HP gaines are overstated by most manufacturers, to be fair you have to try before and after in as close to identical conditions as you can. I could easy show the HPP or Jet losing a bunch of ET by running stock when it's 50 degrees out and no humidity and then running the tuneup when it's 85 and humid. It doesn't take a bunch of weather change to make your ET +/- a tenth or two.

I'll be doing that back to back testing at the end of the month when our track opens...

Drag racing has more to it than just overall power, your actual racing consistancy has a lot to do with whether or not you determine the gains from a mod or not. I assume you haveny autotapped or dyno'd your car?2002 5-spd NBM Camaro

Duke - You weren't on the NOS were you? I'm pretty sure the HPP says not to use it with power adders. Good luck in the testing - try one thing at a time (like stock 1-2 shift and the +2) and when that gets as good as it can, move on to the next (2-3 shift). You might just get a personal best yet.

Rip's right. If you're doing the juice, you don't want to be running the the tuner part of the HPP. The programmer is advancing the curve for higher octane fuel. If your using your NOS, I'm sure you'll want to be going in the opposite direction (retarding the timing). Mixing the two can lead to some serious problems. Zobe
