    i have a 2000 v6 camaro 5 spd, i am not getting any power, especially passed 3k rpm and then its almost like it just stops and makes this really loud grinding sound. Any information is appriciated

    where does it sound like its coming from? happen when you switch gears or what? need a lil more info [img]smile.gif[/img]

      the loud grinding sound sounds like it is comming from under the car at around 4.5k and it also makes a whistling sound when rev it.

        I'd have someone look for the whistling sound when you rev it with the hood up, probably something on the intake manifold

        Its possible you might need a new clutch but I could be wrong

          check the clutch and assembly, i drove mine like that for just a little while and it ended up costing me a little over a grand to fix (it was mainly a whining sound, and i still had power, i ended up toasting the throw-out and melting numerous other things on the drive home... :( )... but that may not be your problem so dont get to worried yet [img]smile.gif[/img]

            just wanted y'all to know that I came to the conclusion the cat came loose and caused the exhaust to get clogged up. So now im lookin at flowmasters and magnaflow exhaust sytems
