  • Window Motor Issue?

I am attempting to change my window motor and I have a question. When drilling out the rivets what size drill bit would I need?

I tried using that, but I can't seem to get the rivets out.

Sorry, actually it doesn't say what size bit to use...but I assume a bit large enough in circumfrence to cut away the whole rivet. Start small and increase in size should keep you from breaking anything.

When drilling the rivet, am I pushing it towards the door panel or pulling it toward me?

Use a bit slightly larger then the size of the hole in the rivet. Then with steady preasure push the drill toward the door and you will eventually drill the head off of the rivet. If it does not work then move up one drill bit size.

Alright thank you both for your suggestions, I'll try that.
