  • 3.4L boys, what oil filter, spark plug, and oil do you use?

jsut curious I bought a fram tough guard or something like that today it was about $5.

I use to use mobil 1 the car had it most its life, but the car developed a few leaks and I switched over to Valvoline maxed life w/ Lucas oil Stabillizer, and it fixed most any leaks and works great.

Also what plugs do you guys use, I have used several brands, msot hte same but Splitfires sucked. I was told some cheap copper ones are probabel the best since Copper the better conductor, I was going to try them but what brand do you use? And I have learned jsut becasue its expensive doess not mean it will be good. I ahve AC Delco Rapidfires, been happy with them, they are a little pricey, I am thinking doing wires as soon as I fix another problem and will toss in a new set of plugs when I do my wires.

    Oil: Mobil 1 Full Synthetic
    Filter: Mobil 1
    Plugs: currently I use Rapidfires
I have used Bosch +4's, Splitfires & Bosch Platinums. I am thinking about putting some iridium plugs in when I put the engine back in the car.

another good lucas product to use is there injector cleaner, you can get a little bottle that you can add to your tank or a big bottle you have to measure out. the stuff works really good

                    Oil: Royal Purple 5W-30

Filter: Either Purolater, Mobil 1, Bosch, or STP (STP is REALLY underrated because they're cheap... but they have the same internals as the Mobil 1!)

Spark Plug: I think I have Rapid Fires on there... I'd like to see if I could run NGK's and Magnacore 8mm wires... see if that would make a difference.

Mobil 1 5W-30 oil, K&N Gold oil filter, dunno about the plugs.

Eric, you're switching from a synthetic to a mineral oil? I thought once you go synthetic, you can never go back?
