I went today to my mechanic and told him I was thinking about switching to Bosch Plat. plugs and Taylor wires. He told me to not do this. He said if I switched to just use AC/Delco cause that is what is on the car and that is what is it made for. He said that it is all myth that better plugs will work better on cars. Anyone else agree. And should I stick with AC/Delco or do what I was gonna do?

You'll be fine with Bosch or Delco or NGK's really. The Delco plugs are good plugs though, so its not like they NEED changing unless its time for servicing due to wear or something on a normal engine.
Your mechanic is probably ASE certified, one of the thinking patterns of ASE's is normally to "stick with what came on the car if it has worked fine in the past" and really thats a good slogan . Sometimes changing brands means introducing problems - however with plugs you probably won't have an issue with Bosch or anything.
Why are you not changing them yourself?2002 5-spd NBM Camaro

AC Delco Platinum Plugs are a good brand, but a little too expensive and hard to find around where I live. I used Bosch Platinum's, and they work fine. I don't know if AC Declo makes Spark Plug Wires, I custom cut my own from Accell.
Advice: If you know someone that can put these plugs on for you/with you, DO IT! Once your Mechanic finds out how many band-aids he'll need to install the plugs, the price will double.
It's a PITA.

If your car is 2000 and up it should only take you about an hour or less to change your plugs and wires. Those tubular exhaust manifolds help alot when changing plugs and wires.
I have AC Delco plugs and Taylor 8MM wires and it works great with my JET module. ;)00\' NBM Firebird~T-5
60\': 2.29 sec.
1/4: 14.7 @ 95.5 MPH
Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for me.
