  • Throttle body Bypass Kit?

heres another $12 ebay mod, Throttle body bypass kit Basicly it works by routing hot enigine coolant around your throttle body rather then through and thus cooling incoming air to generate additional horse power. Anyways any of you more experianced tuners out there ever herd of this and or attempted this? If it does add power why would GM in their infinite wisdom decide to heat incoming air?

        hard to say...

I did it on my 3.4L, don't buy the kit, you can do it yourself.

Concept is engien runs coolant through your TB to heat it up and I believe to avoid ice or something in the TB or something.

I never was going to need it in FL so I did it. Should reduce intake temps slightly but nothing significantly amazing.

I did it ghetto style, I bought an inline hose repair splint and 2 clamps for $3 at autozone, cut the hoses, put the splint in, and clamped them down and was good to go.
