yea for the time and aggravation of relocating mounts making wiring harnesses and getting it to run...don't bother with a bigger 6 just put an LT-1 or LSx in there
there is...you just need to know what to look for...
I researched the 3.4 for a full yea before i had the info and parts together
send me a PM or IM me if you have aim(Much faster, click the running dude under my user name) I can show you many cool things for the 3.4
Now understand befor you dig in...building up a 3.4 IS NOT like any other engine, you can throw parts at it. 300hp at the crank is my goal with mine as well. you'll need to upgrade to a 3x00 top end to really see any improvement
Oh really? you NEED to for any real improvement? :naughty:
More power can be had from the 3.4 without the head swap. Although the swap might be the easiest way to get some bang for the buck after bolt ons.
I run 19lb injectors with my cam and bore. It runs a little rich at startup.
what does your car run???....or have you even taken it to the track?
I only took it once back when I had a one tire fire and 3.23s. The car had more potential than the driver was willing to test (I was still breaking in the motor work). So a sad 16.4 was my best of three. With the posi and 3.73s, I want to see what she will run this spring.
Desktop dyno says I'm around 225 at the crank. After a few more mods, I am going to pony up the cash to get her on the real dyno to get some real numbers. I've shifted my focus to suspension mods right now.
always excuses....don't take a car to the track if you not going give it all you got...thats a pathetic waste
Actually it wasn't. I had a blast hanging out with other people from this site. Even helped Kristen win a trophy in the car show. :)
Giving it all I had wasn't worth saving for another 5 years to have the motor redone again. This wasn't a hack job in my garage, and it cost a sh!tload.
Not much going on, replaced my Kenwood double din stereo with a Pioneer double din, the Kenwood had problems. Then replaced my power inverter for my reverse...
