  • Fuel Guage Question

Hey so does anyone have a problem, where the needle on the fuel gauge varies by like a 1/4 of a tank when you take a right turn?

I just had a new fuel pump assy. put in and I'm thinking there was something that they didn't do right.

If anyone knows anything about this, please let me know. Thanks

That sounds normal to me. Whenever you stop, take off from a dead stop, or turn the level of the gas changes (ie when you stop, the fuel flows to the front of the tank, taking off makes the fuel go to the back of the tank, etc). In my tank, the float sits at the back of the tank. GM also install baffles in the tank which would restrict the fuel from moving around to much while you stop, go, turn but nevertheless, it still happens.
