  • Alternator & Battery Swap Results

After the 2nd time thoroughly searching & posting here what to do about my ongoing & steady ABS INOP/BRAKE lights, I decided to have Advance Auto test out my alternator and the results were bad diodes internally. A second opinion from Meineke Brake said they were dead sure it was the alternator due to the ABS circuit being shut off to save power hence the warning lights staying on.
So today I bought a Delphi alternator with a 160 amp output plus I threw in an Optima battery with better results but the ABS INOP/BRAKE lights are still lit!
I thought the warning lights were to be reset after doing this procedure but apparently not.
The brake fluid resevoirs are fine & level.
Have I missed a step to reset these warning lights?
I still need help from you guys again, I'm stumped!

Have u had the abs codes read? And even though you have installed a new batt/alt, it takes several starts from the car for the codes that are no longer fault to clear out.

How do I get the ABS codes read and who can do that? I am unfamiliar with that but if it's going to take a few starts to clear out the codes then I'm jumping in my car right now for a cruise to see what happens next, that would be excellent!
I have no scanners and the auto parts stores are closed by now I believe.
