PCV valve on 2000 firebird

I'm trying to locate the PCV valve... can anyone tell me where it is. It's not in the same place as the V8's?

I'm pretty sure it's the same as my '97. On the intake manifold, there is a black plate with two screws on it. Remove them and the plate, and inside is the PCV valve.

yes like logger said, it is on the top of your intake manifold under that black cover

see the 2 bolts next to the 3800. that is it. there is spring under there so becare when your taken it off.

i read that if you shake it and it rattles then its good. i replaced mine anyway though.

when you replace this what do you need to do? Just unscrew it pull it out, pop the new one in? do you need a gasket of some sort?

Just unbolt it and put in the new one and bolt it back in.

Ive read about guys loosing there gaskets or something though?
