  • Car feels like it is loosing power....

My car feels like it is loosing alot of power. When I accelerate it doesn't feel as strong as it was like a week ago. Anything I should look for? Anything I should do? Thanks.

is it throwing a SES light or not? If so then pull the codes (duh). If not I agree raxxus you should check spark plugs, wires, fuel filter and pump.

Doesn't K&N make fuel filters too?? Or is that oil filters? How do I go about checking wires and plugs? If I see that they are messed up in anyway, whats a get set of wires/and/or/plugs?

Maybe you ate too much dinner the last few days? :D lol

Anyways.. As was said, check the plugs, wires, ect.

How many miles does the car have on it? How many since the last tune up? Maybe its time you gave it a full tune up.

How do I check them? Besides taking my car to a mechanic?

as far as checking the plugs I'd say pull one of the front plugs (easiest to get to) and see if they look like they're all crapped up. If so then you might have found your problem. As far as it being the wires, I had my wires go (luckely I found out that there was a recall on them for at least the 98 firebirds might be worth checking) and the car would not do crap when ever the motor had load on it (missfired badly) and it threw a SES light so if you dont have one of those then I doubt that it is that but definatly check the plugs first.
