• Best plug wires?

I am tuning up my motor and I need opinions on waht to use. I think I might get some 10.8 universal ones from pep boys and just cut them to fit. What do you guys use?

Even though you have the aftermarket ignition, anything over 9mm is generally considered race wire, and if you go larger than that you may be hurting yourself. Personally, I'm buying Accel 8.8mm heatsleeved race wire ($92 for an over-the-valve cover HEI SBC). I don't know if they make a direct fit set for the 3.8 or not, but check with their website (www.mrgasket.com)

I use the accell 8.8 custom fit wires. I measured, cut, and installed them myself. They work great.

Go for a wire that has the least resistance per foot. That will offer the best performance. MSD generally has the about the best reputation as far as that goes.

I've got MSD 8.5mm wires from AMMPerformance and I love them!!! They're also custom fit. What ever brand you pick, be sure to install them properly. Use spark plug boot grease at both ends to reduce corrosion.

If you're looking for a tune up, replacing spark plugs and O2 sensors at the same time with show the best gains in HP and economy.

I installed them with NGK plugs and MSD 1000* heat sleeving to prevent any of the common misfire problems

I heard the best plug wires are made by a no-name company. Their website is www.DO-A-SEARCH.com.....j/k

I have the MSD coils, but the wires seemed a little pricey. I went with the Taylor wires made for the 93-97 models and 1200* boot protectors.

Well, I just picked up a set of Bosch ignition wires for my 3.4 today, about $25 and have a lifetime warranty from AutoZone, so even if I get any arcing all I have to do is take them back and get a new set for free :D Now all I have to do is change the oil, spark plugs, wires, PCV valve, everything is bought, belt is done... what else... while searching I came across taylors for $35-45 and got my MSds for $50 from www.ammperformance.com

also taylor sleeves were expensive... I bought a 6' roll of fire sleeving form summit(if you find my post about it it has a part number) for about $10 cheaper and I coudl run a full foot of it on each wire.

Right now my motor is misfiring it's *** off and to be honest I am sick of changing plugs and wires every few months. I am going to probably order some wire sleeves so that the misfire problem is solved.
