Engine coolant Temps - the closer to 210 F the better the gas milage

Air Inlet temp - cold air is nice for power, but if your looking for economy, you need to heat up that intake air. The best solution would be to have heated intake air for normal driving, and cold air for WOT. Thats the way I had it set up for my 72' Formula. Gotta figure out a way to do it to the 99!

Also, getting a big Trans Am wing, decreases fuel efficiency.

how do you figure that the only added weight is the supports holding the spoiler up

i did the egr thing where u plug it from the hearder so it can get cool air insend of hot but for some reason my car doesnt seem to like it it drives wierd when i did that why?

I weigh 180. I try to keep it below 2000. Do think I should step it up to 2500?

What kind of gas mileage do you get? Do you have Trans Am wing?

I usually take it a little bit over 2k to get moving. In the year I've had my car it's only seen as high as 4k rpms literally twice.

Because now when the EGR opens it's a vacuum leak.

How much time do you actually sit in traffic stopped at lights, do you ever get over 35. are you constantly leaving stoplights only to stop next block down for light?

You're from Jersy, so how long to you let your car warm up in driveway?

Does your car ever really warm up before you get to work?

Don't the Northern states use a different weaker gas formula in winter?

All of the above really suck up your MPG

I stop at a lot of lights on my commutes, but don't sit at them for very long. I start the car and usually start going after a minute or 2, given that there is no ice/snow on the windshield. I recorded my MPG back in december and I came out with about 17 all city. So I'm not complaining considering I'm supposed to get 19 and its the winter.

This week-end fill it up first with gas, then take it out on a freeway for about 50 miles and then fill up again to check miliage. I would think if car had problems it would show up hiway too.

I know my city/hiway combo is alot better than yours with my 5spd. but it is not City City traffic, it is more like constantly moving very few complet stops at lights.
My MPG ranges from 26-30

Tires DO MAKE a lot of difference. I went from 32 MPG in a tracker to 23MPG by putting on large tires, same thing with a Mazda P/up

Yes, they block both sides. If you delete the EGR you have to run 92+ octane or have the PCM tuned for no EGR. Deleting the EGR will make the engine "ping" while cruising at highway speeds.
