    Car still isn't working-cont. Please reply

    Well this is an update on my car
    -changed fuel pump, it works
    -Changed map sensor
    -I am getting spark
    I got the car to start last nite, see my other post. But then it died, I didn't do anything really. I am running out of ideas of things to check. When I crank the car, I hear the fuel pump and under the hood by the passenger side fuel rail, I hear pressure being released. Is this normal? How do I check for the fuel pressure? Should I just take it in? Considering the car ran for a little while right after the fuel pump install, did this larger pump f--- up my car?

      Could be the body control module? Have you swapped engines / pcms, or something? Maybe the damn thing jsut went bad. It sends a signal to the PCM telling it to allow the engine to start. Without it, or with it malfunctioning, your car will either not start or start for a little bit like yours is doing. I hope you haven't spend $5k chasing down the problem, since this may be it.
      My school (U-Maryland, College Park) swapped in an ethanol burning 3.8L Camaro engine (225 horses) into a suburban, for their hybrid FutureTruck. Got there, couldn't run the damn thing at all ... GM tech comes over, sets up a function generator to mimic the BCM to the PCM, works like a charm.

        No I haven't swapped engines or done anything more than whats in my sig. I don't even know what that module is, but thanks for the tip. I spent about 350 so far towards this thing.
        I assume its breathing ok, I mean my slp intake is sealed off, no ram air to suck up water with or anything.

          If your car has been sitting and you fuel has been in there check your fuel filter. With a new pump change you could have knocked some crap free. You can check to see if you have any pressure and or if fule is making it out by depressing the shrader &lt;sp&gt; valve located on the passenger side of your engine.

            Checked the fuel filter, its fairly new and fuel is going through it ok.
            I'll check that schrader valve thing.
