  • fuel pump went out

    well folks tonight on my way home fuel pump went out and im not to happy about it. got some ? will a v8 fuel pump fit a v6 or do i just the v6 one? and how hard is it to change it? thanks for the help
    2000 camaro rs:whisperlid, 2.5 magnaflow exhaust, catco high flow cat, fast toys cai, 3.73, 160 power stat, msd 8.5 wires ngk iridium spark plugs, hpp3, zzp w/p and alt. under drive pullies, 1.9 Rockers/LS6 Springs with ls1 retainers

    well, as far as changing it, its either drop the rear end/most of teh exhaust and then the gas tank OR cut a access panel in the trunk.

    mine went last week, damn weather wont give me a break to screw with it though, so its just sitting until further notice.

    im not dropping the rear, im cutting a hole in this fuker.

    current car- 95 Trans am- bolt ons, parked and collecting dust. why? because **** it

      Here you go. This link is everything you need to know. I seriously doubt you'd have any questions after reading it. If you do, let me know and I'll try to help. And yes, cut an access panel. It will save you SO much time and energy. And btw, the search function works. ;)

        but i just found out by useing the search funtion lol that 98 and down are diffrent then the 99 and up. i have a 2000 so i found this one here :)

          I read that a 99+ Ls1 fuel pump will work in the 99+ v6s. I just bought about a few weeks ago a 99+ racetronix pump from a Group Buy over at ls1tech. It has nice colored instruction on every step of the install process.

            well i end up bying a oem one cuse my sending unit isnt working anyways but thanks for the info :)
