wait & get a 97&up fwd gm, unless it's a bonnie. That way you get the Series II motor, which is rated about the same power as the series I supercharged motors were.

When I first got my Camaro I thought it was so slow, especially since it is an automatic. I didn't think I could ever make it fast at all, but then I discovered all the things you can do for these cars: look in my sig, and thats not very many mods. A V6 Camaro is a very good car. You can do a lot with it, and yes they are fairly quick, no Z28, but quick.

I could of had a Z28 but the insurance was alot more, right now me and my parents are on the same policy so it is around $1800 a year for the camaro.

The 3.8 is a awsome daily driver, I get between 18-25MPG on regular fuel, it has strong torque for passing and merging, it is a little slugish when first punched and floored but it quickly pulls ahead and will really get cooking if you dont let up.

Get T tops, you wont regrette it, the Y87 package is a good one because it includes a limited slip and better gears, 3:42 over 3:08, I had a hard time finding one so I have the 3:08 which are still decient.

It is a pretty good blend of practicality and speed if you ask me.

Fast or slow, we still look good in our fbodys.
I rather have a good looking moderately fast car than moderate looking fast car. But thats just me.

Yep everything he said just about sums it up. Also with 3.42s, the car is far from sluggish off the line! It'll throw you in the seat and spin the tires if you floor it off the line...it's ALMOST like the feel of a Z28 at a takeoff equivalent to 4,000RPMs.

The 3.8 is powerful, yet it lacks a bit on the topend. It has power, but some ricers will be able to hang with you if you race them from highway speeds.
