I had to have mine replaced last summer. I just bought the part from gmpartsdirect and took it to a window shop, way too much hassle for me to do. He told me he might have been able to welded it back together without the new part, but since I had alredy bought it he put it on.

camarowidbass, that was a damn nice pun, hats off to you on that one man. Does anybody know anything about changing my roll down windows to power and how much weight it might add to the car itself?

I pulled my window out and drilled out the rivets and then usedsmall bolts and nuts to hold the new one together....if I had to do it again I woudl have a professional do it...I am shocked that I didn't break the window.
