He is stopped at a light if the clutch was engaged he would be stalled out or rolling through the light.

TCC Solenoid may be stuck in the "on" position, so the converter might stay locked up too long. That'd cause a hell of a vibration. Do you notice any Engine Speed drops? Does the condition happen after anything specific? Highway driving or driving at speeds above 55 mph perhaps? 94 was the first year for the 4L60E, and I know that I had the TCC problem with my 96.

except for the vibration the car runs good. the idle is steady about 700-800 rpms with the vibratiuon but when i put it in neutral i'll pick up to around 900 rpms and the vibration goes away. it only occurs when the car is stopped.

That one is true, when I rewired my M5 to a A4 I didn't get the pin connector all the way in on the pcm, it would vibrate like hell in Drive and fine in neutral, the wire was the TCC control to unlock and lock the converter, should throw a code , my wire was a brown wire on the pcm I think it the was 55 pin.

My dad's Honda does the same thing. He says it's the mounts (motor and trans). Might want to check them out, IDK.

                        Re: vibration

i suspect it could be the motor mounts. i already replaced the trans mount and it didnt make a difference. how do you check the motor mounts, and if they have to be replaced , is it a hard job.
