Re: Help Please!!!
Be sure to crank the engine with the rag over the plug holes while you have all the plugs out. It will help to pull water out of the plenum and into the cylinders and out the plug holes.
Just do it quickly, the inside of an engine isn't meant to have water in it. GET THAT WATER OUT OF THERE QUICKLY. Changing the oil ONCE will get most of the water out. Getting the engine running and HOT WILL GET THE REST OF THE MOISTURE OUT. Waiting for new plugs is only allowing that water to corrode the inside of that engine. I would tell you that if you are waiting on oil, DON'T. Drain that old oil out, separate the water (it should be on the bottom) and pour the old oil back in. Clean re-gap the spark plugs and get it started. If you can't tell, I'M TRYING TO LIGHT A FIRE UNDER YOUR A$$ to get moving on this one.
After that you can have all the time in the world to sit and figure out if there's more damage.
