water drains onto intake manifold?

Does anyone else have a problem with water draining through the "watershield" (for lack of proper term) at the base of the windshield and onto the intake manifold? I noticed my '02 Firebird had a problem with it a couple of months after I bought it. It's almost like it was designed to channel water runoff right on top of the engine! I usually keep the car covered so it's not a problem, but when she's out in the rain or getting a wash, it puddles on the manifold.

I've seen in some other pix of newer 'Birds/Camaros that ugly brown stain on top of the intake, so I'm thinking this is not an isolated case.

Hey, when I first saw my car in the lot. It had just rained. The car ran for a little bit and when the hood opened the water dripped from the cowl onto the exhaust manifold causing some hissing and resulting steam. Also, water gets built up on top of the driver's shock tower,.,.,.ahhhhhh American Quality,.,.,.or ummm GM Quality...hehe But GM is the best quality American car maker....makes u wonder about the other 2 :D

never been a problem for me on my 00'...funny the only time it will do it is if I aim those hose right in there...other than that nothing
