window motor???

Well my window needs a spotter to help it get to the top. basically my window motor is this is shot.... is this a hard fix and do i need a new motor or could somethin be in way or what ................... i'm so lost

bad motor most likly if u search there is a write up some where around here on how to change the motor its not that hard to do.

It is not hard to replace. There is an excellent write up posted on here somewhere. I replaced mine and it was not hard to do.

depends where you get it.. I got one from our H&H dealer for like 30 bucks that works like a champ. Autozone has one for like $125. ew. Be ready with new monobolts and remove of the old ones properly or you'll break your fiber glass.

Oh I just thought of this.. they made a website called Google. you can find it at http://www.google.com You can look up tons of stuff on the internet. Like monobolts. With monobolts use something small enough with a hammer to tap out the center then you have to drill off the rest of the head. And as for the window motor replacement. lol hey you know where i work, just come visit me and I'll help you. As long as you take the door panels off (I've broken a few tabs in my time) we cna probably tackle it together

changing motors is a PITA. im procrastinating doing my 3rd window motor replacement...

the first time is the hardest. I did it the easy way, drilling out the rivets. i had to get a little mirror to use to figure out how to align the motor. Once you get the hang of it, its not bad!

just did both of mine in my LS car... drivers was dead, passingers stopped a foot shy each time.
Its a pain if you try to do it by the book.

just take a bit of time once you have the motor in place and grease the tracks.

Use a sharpie and mark the holes on the above pic and that will help with aligning. just get one of the bolts and nuts in one of the holes and use the window switch to Jog the motor back and forth till they line them up.

Im OK with a wrench and I did the first one in 45min and the second one in 20mins
