Re: Windshield wipers
What I've found is that the "J" hook for the wiper arm is, in effect backwards, causing you to have to put the hook through the wiper blade before locking it in. Because you do that, the arm contacts the frame of the blade. What I've done is mark where the frame of the blade hits the arm and remove that section. The blade should be able to pivot and will work.

Re: Windshield wipers
Its the spring like Josh said. had the same problem a couple times. I got replacements from AutoZone and they only lasted 6 months before having the same problem. I finally dropped the change to get the wiper arms from the dealer and haven't had a problem since.Doug
1996 Camaro RS M5 Y87
SLP Bilstein shocks, Eibach springs, 1LE frt/rear sway bars

Re: Windshield wipers
I had the same problem and replaced blades and still didn't work. I went to dealer to order new arms and the guy said I didn't need them and described the following quote that I didn't understand then and still don't.

He went out and installed blades and no change after a few minutes he messed with them and they were working again. Now its that way again but if I push down on them as there moving before I go on my commute they work for the trip. I wanted to look at them this past weekend but was unable so I plan on looking at them next weekend.Originally posted by kalaI'll have buttsecks with Richard Simmons!
