  • rough when cold??

    quick question.....

when i start the car from cold, it idles fine but if i try to rev the engine it spluters badly....and after about 4/5 seconds of reving it clears and drives perfect.

if i dont rev it and clear the 'problem' and just get in and drive (a small amount) then switch off and try to start again its real hard to get going again, smeels like over fueling i have to have my foot flat to floor to restart it again

drives 100% rest of time and like i said if i rev the engine for 5 seconds when i start its fine

i just been thinking about something that i thought was an unrelated issue....

i seem to be losing coolent quite quickly these days, so i am thinking maybe i have a intake gasket problem and over night or a few hours the water leaks thru into the air chamber ? and then clears after i rev.

would have to be a small leak because there is no white smoke and my emmisions are fine too

        whats your thinking on this?

When you have enough coolant, does your car run hotter than normal?

no, when the coolant is filled up the car will run at normal temp

Then that would lead me to think its getting into the intake as well...
